About

Anna graduated from Photography in 2010, Stevenson College, Edinburgh, where she completed HND and PDA (Professional Photography, SCQF Level 9) Photography.
Passionate about "visual arts" and crafts she developed interest in photography as a merger of both and a very versatile medium.
Anna has been influenced by Irving Penn, John Blakemore, Peter Lippmann, Andreas Heumann,
Julia Margaret Cameron. Also Gerard Uferas' "back-stage documentary", first time seen in Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, in 2009.
Anna does portraiture, product shots/other still life, events and functions.
Anna shoots on film, favours large format view camera following the footsteps of Julia Margaret Cameron, just with a more modern take on the medium. Anna processes and develops her B&W films and if possible she prints her own B&W photographs. Although interested mainly in traditional and alternative photography, Anna does not shy from the charm and convenience of the digital. She is a proficient user of DSLRs and Photoshop and welcomes commercial commissions.
In January 2013 Anna joint ROAR (Rotherham Open Art Renaissance) in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, an artistic organisation supporting local artists and artisans. In February 2014 Anna met 2 other artists-photographers associated with ROAR - Jennifer Booth and John Stanton. Together they set up an art collective Sometimes3 which built a small darkroom at ROAR and participated in the annual Sheffield's Open Studios events in 2014 and 2015.
